Short Grain turns three

Three years ago we opened our doors on Marshall Street. This birthday, we're handing the menu to the two women who cook with us every night.

Dream grew up in the north of Thailand (Neua). Patty is from Isaan in the north east. For one weekend only, they're cooking the food of home: the curries, salads, soups and sweets they grew up eating, served as a set menu to share.

Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October, at lunch and dinner. $95 per person, for the whole table, served alongside our standard and set menus.

Please note, this menu can't be adapted for dietary requirements.

Start with a Bloody Short Grain. It's our take on the bloody mary, with Thai flavours and a kick of chilli, and nothing like the one you know.

The menu

Snack: khao tang koi neua (Patty)

Starter: miang kham (Dream)

Mains to share: gaeng hang lay, tom som and pak bung fai daeng (Dream), som tum Isaan (Patty), with sticky or jasmine rice

Dessert: tub tim krob (Patty)

To drink: wine pairing suggestions from our team on the day. See the full menu below.
